Rubber rises amid thin trade

Spot rubber regained strength in the absence of sellers . RSS-4 improved to 129 (128.50) a kg, according to traders. The grade continued to remain unchanged at 128.50 and 125.50 respectively as reported by the Rubber Board and the dealers.

 

The trend was mixed. January futures firmed up to 132 (130.61), February to 133.38 (132.12), March to 135.30 (134.29) and April to 137.20 (135.62) on the NMCE. RSS-3 (spot) improved to 105.08 (104.46) at Bangkok. January futures weakened to 115.82 (116.84) on the TOCOM. Spot rubber rates (/kg): RSS-4: 129 (128.50); RSS-5: 124 (123); ISNR 20: 115 (115) and Latex (60% drc): 89.50 (89.50).
